Why It Matters

At Raregivers, we believe in the power of education and knowledge exchange to drive meaningful change. Healthcare professionals, nonprofit leaders, and family caregivers benefit when they have access to research‑based insights, practical strategies, and opportunities to learn from one another. By prioritizing the well‑being and professional growth of those who care for others, we strengthen the systems that support them—creating lasting impact for individuals, families, and communities.

Raregivers 25th Anniversary Celebration

September 12, 2025

6-8pm

Salesforce Tower, San Francisco

The summit will conclude at Salesforce Tower with Journeys of the Heart—a milestone celebration honoring Raregivers’ 25 years of global impact in uplifting caregivers. Since its founding, the organization has provided over 1.5 million hours of emotional support and connected more than 73,000 families worldwide.

“Caregivers are essential to healthcare, yet their emotional needs are too often invisible,” said Dr. Elissa Epel, Director of the UCSF Aging, Metabolism & Emotions Center and keynote speaker at the summit. “We are honored to co-host this summit and advance sustainable, science-based approaches that support the mental and emotional health of caregivers worldwide.”

The evening program will feature the Raregivers Global Impact Awards, honoring 100 global changemakers through the #Raregivers100 campaign. These individuals, spanning healthcare, philanthropy, entertainment, and business, have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to raising awareness and improving the lives of rare disease caregivers.
